What is Drupal?

FAQ

Drupal is one of the leading and widely used content management systems (CMS) in the world. It provides a powerful and expansive set of tools for non-technical users to create websites, blogs, applications, and lots of other digital content. Drupal is composed of modules, each of which offers a type of functionality, with its core modules being known as CORE. It’s then possible to install additional modules, according to the user’s ongoing and changing requirements.

As well as being free, Drupal is also open source, so its source code can be accessed and expanded upon. This has led, much like Wordpress, another popular CMS, to developers creating and releasing their own modules, which has led to a thriving, supportive community of users.
